Internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang returns to Singapore for a solo recital spanning Mozart’s elegance, Beethoven’s emotional depth, the vibrant colours of Spain and Liszt’s dazzling virtuosity.
The programme opens with Mozart’s Rondo in D major, K. 485, followed by Beethoven’s impassioned “Pathétique” Sonata and deeply introspective Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110.
After the intermission, selections from Albéniz’s Suite española and Granados’ poetic “Quejas, o la maja y el ruiseñor” from Goyescas evoke the spirit of Spain. The evening concludes with Liszt’s lyrical Consolation No. 2 and exhilarating Tarantella from Venezia e Napoli.
