剧情简介

公元1572年（万历元年），张居正出任首辅的第一天，就陷入了朝廷财政崩溃的困境。从胡椒苏木折俸开始，他顶住来自上下左右的巨大压力，艰难地拉开了改革的序幕。从子粒田征税到考成法的实施，从限制皇室的特权到一条鞭法的推行，他一人而担天下事，矢志改革，甘冒烽矢。心系社稷安危，情牵百姓福祉。本剧从阳间到阴间，从江湖到庙堂，无不贯穿着激烈的矛盾冲突，无不在展示一位改革家的忠诚与担当、忧患与情怀……
