冯•珀泽1967年出生于德国慕尼黑。作为独立导演在海德堡市立剧场、莱比锡话剧院、哥廷恩德意志剧院以及慕尼黑室内剧院等剧院执导作品。冯•珀泽1999年排演的改编自陀思妥耶夫斯基《白痴》的独角戏《为了跟您见面，伊皮洛特把他的死亡推迟到了后天》自排演以来就受到了汉诺威话剧院、苏黎世话剧院等剧院的邀请，作为固定剧目，破例在慕尼黑室内剧院从2001年一直上演到2005年。2002年执导的作品《女孩之夜》曾被提名Friedrich-Luft戏剧奖。次年被德国权威级戏剧杂志《戏剧今日》评选为“年度新秀导演”。作为导演，冯•珀泽横跨音乐、话剧与舞蹈剧场。著有《导演——一个理想的职业》。
他善于处理小人物在大时代变迁中的日常生活，用幽默的舞台画面语言带给观众观赏中的愉悦与退场后的反思。
