现今在全球范围内能够得到一致赞誉的DJ并不多，但Gareth Emery绝对是其中一位。来自英国城市南安普敦的Gareth Emery年纪轻轻就受过各种音乐熏陶，他玩钢琴、Jazz、还搞过朋克乐团。到了02年DJMag慧眼发现了这个在当时还默默无闻的年轻人，并预言他会成为跳舞音乐界的耀眼人物。同年Gareth Emery便制作了首支单曲‘Nervous Breakdown 2002’，自此开始受到业界的关注。当年Eddie Halliwell, Guy Ornadel 和Dave Pearce这泼BBC Radio的大红人把这首单曲打翻版后，跳舞大场Godskitchen旋即将‘Nervous Breakdown 2002’收进自家大碟。
