Steven Curtis Chapman是CCM得奖之王、歌坛巨星Steven Curtis Chapman，曾连创7张全美专辑榜冠军，并得到4座葛莱美最佳专辑大奖的肯定。在1995年出版的《Music of Christmas》专辑中和CeCe Winans合唱的圣诞新创曲“Christmas in All in the Heart”，在当时创下排行榜佳绩。他的前一张专辑两年前曾经进入过Billboard 200排行榜的前20名，2002年的《All About Love》在发行之后以5万1千张的销量名列排行榜的第12位。Steven Curtis Chapman一直致力于帮助世界孤儿，他创办的Shaohannah s Hope是一间致力于世界孤儿问题的机构。Steven Curtis Chapman及其太太Mary Beth一直支持Shaohannah s Hope的发展，他们先后从中国孤儿院领养三个中国儿童。2006年5月20日，Steven Curtis Chapmann在结束中国领养计划后，与其轻摇滚乐队在上海举办一场慈善音乐会，用心用情来现场演绎其对领养经验为主题而创作的一系列歌曲。用音乐将“跨越国界的爱”表达的淋漓尽致。
